[At first, Ochako thought it was all just a weird dream she had. Some strange, talking, metallic alpaca was sputtering nonsense at her about...something or other. Pokey men? Seek out all the pokey men? Hm...yeah, no. That sounds weird and extremely uncomfortable - she has to deal with Mineta on the daily, that should count towards all pokey men or...whatever. At least when he goes on one of his nasty tangents.
But, after being woken up by a stranger on a beach in just her pajamas, Ochako begins to think that dream was more real than just a manifestation of her subconscious telling her the crane game alpacas at the downtown arcade were a total ripoff. No, there are strange animals here, this seems like a much older version of Japan, possibly near the northern lands, and she...has she gone back in time somehow? Was this a quirk?? Did a villain attack UA again and actually send her, and others in the dorms, back in time?
Despite the initial panic, and desire to set out and try to, hopefully, locate some of her friends and classmates, Ochako is told to wait by a canteen until further notice. Apparently, someone tells her, people have been appearing from a rift in the sky, and Ochako nearly balks when she sees it. It's...i-it's so similar to the warp quirk of that one villain, Kurogiri. The color and shape is different, yes, but there's no mistake. But...b-but it's not possible for that villain to warp her back in time, is it? No, that wasn't the scope of his quirk, and he was in prison! He was locked away in Tartarus and...a-and--]
Wh-What do I do...I. I-I have to find everyone else, I--...I need to find the others.
[Deku, Bakugou, Iida and Tsuyu... Aizawa-sensei...anyone.]
[It's been about a week and a half since Lillie fell through time and space and landed here in Hisui. Shockingly not the first time she's woken up on a beach with Nebby by her side. Although the memory of being face to face with Arceus itself was seared into her mind, so she knew it wasn't Nebby who brought her here. Seek out all pokemon...she had freely admitted to the god-pokemon that she was afraid to, that she wasn't a trainer. It had pondered her for a moment, muttered "Have courage." and then it cast her down onto Prelude Beach.
Hisui has taken some getting used to though. She's been running errands for the shopkeepers and helping tend to pokemon in the village pastures when they arrive, tired and weary from battling. Acclimating both to the new environment and to the idea of being so close to so many different pokemon. They all liked to play with Nebby, and nobody here seemed to want to take Nebby away or use it for...well, nobody seemed to mind it. They seemed to delight in its shape and the sounds it made.
Now she was being co-opted into giving newcomers a welcoming tour. Show them around, help them understand what's happened. She wasn't old enough for any of the Corps, so this was how she could pull her weight, they said. And if anyone ever looked like they needed help with adjusting, it's the girl standing outside of the Wallflower - Ochako.
Lillie smooths out her dress, reciting what Captain Cyllene had asked her to say as Nebby waddles up to float at her side.]
You must have a lot of questions. My name is Lillie. I'm going to try to help you as best I can, okay?
[Ochako blinks, turning and giving this girl a once over before her eyes land smack dab on the...something at her side. Ochako doesn't want to jump to conclusions, or assume anything, but her immediate thought is that it's a Nomu of some kind, and she bites her lip. What even are these Pokey-Men that people are talking about here? She saw a few of them, but they all seemed like...weird but cute animals. Mascots, maybe, like the ones she sees on those cartoons for kids, or in video games about taming monsters and stuff. Is...is it like Monster Rancher, maybe? Ochako's never played, but Denki's definitely talked about it before, tried to get her to play once...
Ochako shakes her head, feeling a pang of sadness thinking about the friends she left behind, if they're still here and what became of them, but smiles at the younger girl as honestly as she can. It doesn't quite reach her eyes, but she does try her best to at least be polite. Clearly, this youngster was sent to help her out.]
Yes, I...I do have a lot, ehehe. Um, thank you very much, Lillie-chan. Should we, um...sh-should we sit? [Lord, is she really going to sit at an outdoor restaurant in her pajamas?]
then pewish! (also lmk if this is okay/if you want to go other directions, i'm so rusty omg)
[It's jarring, coming to in a place you've never been, relying on strangers to help you understand. She's been there. She didn't take to it well either - the first time anyway. This time has been kinder to Lillie, with less immediate threat of her mother bearing down on her. She can see that stress in Ochako's eyes and the tension in her smile and she really feels for her.]
If you'd like!
[It's a long walk from the beach to the village and quite frankly Lillie remembers her legs being wobbly from the shock when she first came here, so sitting is probably a good idea. She takes a seat on the opposite side of the table, Nebby chirping cheerfully and following behind. It's nice not to have to confine the poor thing to a bag all the time.]
If you're hungry, the first meal is free for newcomers. Beni makes really incredible potato mochi.
[There were technically other items on the menu but her understanding was that your safety and satisfaction was only guaranteed with the mochi.]
[Honestly speaking, being nauseous is a thing Ochako got used to very fast, due to her quirk. Overuse of Zero Gravity makes the poor brunette ill, and causes some pretty bad vomiting in the worst cases of it... So, learning to curve that, master her gag reflex, and train her endurance has become beneficial for her. Hero training is nothing to take lightly - she has to be able to recover from almost anything if she wants to preserve her life, and that of others.
Following after Lillie, Ochako tries very hard to take in the scenery, making a mental map of everything - people, places, how they act, the bizarre creatures around...anything, but it's difficult. There's so much, and her nerves are beginning to catch up to her. Ochako's wringing her hands together by the time they've sat down at the Wallflower, and she nearly falls backwards and the blissful comfort of a familiar and beloved meal. Thank goodness... Ochako loves mochi, it's her favorite food, and though isobe-yaki is more savory than sweet (her preference), she seems almost...relieved.]
Y-Yes, the mochi is fine!! I-I'll take that, please! [Maybe with some food in her, she'll be in better shape to, well...ingest everything else.] And...and some strong tea, I think. I feel like I need it...
[Beni, despite eyeing Ochako with some suspicion, seems to approve of the desire for potato mochi and leaves to fetch some. Lillie folds her hands in her lap patiently, trying to share some of her calmness ambiently with the poor panicked arrival. She figures the poor girl won't know where to start, so she offers a bit of relevant conversation while they wait.]
I know it's frightening to be given a big task and sent to a strange place...I'm fairly new here as well. But the people of Jubilife Village have been very kind and generous to me. I'm sure they'll be kind to you, too.
[Nebby chirps in seeming agreement. People had been slow to accept her the first few days, but a child didn't pose much threat to them so. Still, she had noticed they valued people based on their actions above all.]
I've been asked to answer any questions you might have, but...well, I don't know why we, specifically, are here. Or why people keep falling out of the sky. I'm afraid they're still trying to figure that out.
[Ochako takes a deep breath and just sighs a little when Beni goes off to prepare their food. Ochako really doesn't know where to begin, so she just waits for Lillie to finish trying to persuade her that everything will be okay, and that she won't be treated unfairly by most people. There's a bunch of questions - thoughts racing through Ochako's head - but immediately her eyes snap to the little cloud creature and Ochako blurts out the most pressing one that's been on her mind.]
I'm sorry, but...what is that? I-I don't mean to be rude, but...but I've never seen anything like it before. [Not a total lie, but Ochako would rather not liken this cute cloud creature to the terrible villain Kurogiri, or a Nomu. N-No thanks...] And um, I-I suppose my most pressing question is, um...how in the world do I get back?
As kind as people may be here, this is isn't where I'm meant to be. My friends, my family...I need to get back home.
Oh, I'm sorry! This is Nebby - er, Cosmog. It's a pokémon. This one came with me from my home, but there are countless pokémon in this place, in all different shapes and sizes. They can be dangerous in the wild, but people and pokémon also work side by side as partners and friends. Nebby won't hurt you - it doesn't have any battling moves and is very docile.
[It's so hard to imagine a world without pokémon. Ochako would not be the first to not recognize them, but Lillie still forgets that some people don't just come from other times, but other spaces.
At the second part, she smiles sadly. It's...a common question. But it hasn't gotten easier to tell people the answer.]
Did you have a strange dream when you arrived? A huge pokémon told you to "Seek all pokémon", right? Professor Laventon thinks it may be connected to how we can go home, but nobody knows for sure. He believes it refers to catching all the types of pokémon in Hisui.
[Right, another Pokey-Man...thing. Ochako nods, looking at the little creature with a smile. In all fairness, it is cute, and kind of reminds Ochako of a nebula... She loves space, after all, and her quirk is literally Zero Gravity.]
W-Wait...battling? So these creatures actually fight? Uwahh...it really does sound like I've stepped into an RPG! I-I wonder if my quirk even still works...
[Ochako frowns, leaning back as Beni returns with their meals...and a pot of tea with two mugs. Ochako bows her head in thanks, politely, but the elder gentleman only glances at her briefly before turning away with a scoff. Seems the restaurant owner still isn't very fond of all the newcomers...]
Oh, that big, shadowy, horse-looking thing? Mm, I remember that. I-I just thought it was a weird dream, I...um. I-I deal with a lot of weird things and people back home, s-so...I didn't really pay much attention to it until then, but. I-If I have to seek out all these Peek-a-Boos [Nope...] then I'll do it as fast as I can!! People will be really worried about me when they notice I've gone missing!
Ah...D-Deku won't--...and Tsu-chan... [What if they think she was kidnapped? Just like Bakugou was that one time? What if UA and the teachers get in trouble for this?! What if the school shuts down?! All because of her. Ochako's face goes white, and her hands grip her knees tightly.] I-I have to somehow tell them I'm okay... I-Isn't there any way?
[ Peek-a-boos..........Lillie would correct her, but she seems to be having a time and. Well. She doesn't have a really good answer to Ochako's question. She had asked similar questions, but been given answers that were not all that comforting. There had been time to adjust, to accept it. But she'd be lying if she said she hadn't cried the first night. ]
Oh...you must be very loved, to have people who will miss you like that...I don't know how much it helps, but the Professor says time isn't like a straight line. He thinks that maybe, even though days will pass while we are here, no time is passing at all where we came from. Like how we can dream a whole day in a two hour nap.
[ But the unsaid truth is that there's no way to know for sure. ]
[Ochako is loved, yes, but she also loves a lot more, too. She knows how her friends will get if they notice she's missing, and to put that burden on them, to put that burden on her parents...on everyone at UA who's done so much to try and keep them safe. It makes the potato mochi taste bitter on her tongue as Ochako nibbles one quietly.]
Mmh...my friends and I stay together on campus at school. We've lived under the same roof for several months now, and um...w-well. We're pretty good friends, I think. I can't imagine life without them all...
[She swallows thickly.]
But if it's like that, then maybe they won't immediately try to break through time and space to come rescue me, ehehe!! I know Deku-kun would definitely be the first to try! [That is no exaggeration. Izuku Midoriya would claw his way through the multiverse to try and save someone, especially a close friend. And the others wouldn't be too far behind.] ...It's really what we do. We help people in need.
[ Lillie feels a sharp pang of sadness as Ochako speaks. There's nobody in particular waiting back home for her. Nobody will look for her. Nobody will miss her. She takes a deep breath to center herself and simply tries to appreciate that Ochako's life is full of love and companionship, even if hers has not been. ]
That sounds wonderful. I think...I think people here need help in their own ways. [ She looks around, knowing that everyone she can see from this seat is terrified of leaving the Village. ] Maybe you can continue to help people and pokémon. Maybe that will bring you closer to home?
[Oh, if only Ochako knew what Lillie was thinking, she'd surely try to comfort the girl as well. Lives touch other lives all the time - the little things you do, even to a complete stranger...they matter and have a strong impact on the world itself. All Might is a shining example of that, and Deku, too - who All Might seems to have taken under his wing. All Heroes, big and small, Pro or just trainee like herself and her friends, follow this line of thought.
If Ochako knew, she'd let Lillie know that there's surely someone out there thinking of her. Someone she met, or interacted with even for a little while, that would think of and miss her. Bonds are strange, but powerful, in that way.]
Mm...you might be right. [Ochako looks around, still nibbling on her food. It's a small village, tiny compared to what she knows, and looks to be ever growing and expanding. People are fearful and suspicious of newcomers, too... What will they think if they see her using her quirk? Hah, probably that she's a freak, or a witch. No, she's got to play it totally safe here.] How can I help? I doubt there's anything like a Hero agency here, but if there's law enforcement, or a guard, I can help that way...
Or whatever needs immediate work. [She's pretty well rounded that way.]
There's always the Security Corps. They keep the village safe from wild pokemon, and keep the peace in the Village. They also escort people to camps out in the field.
[ Lillie softens, happy to move away from her own thoughts. She looks Ochako over, noting that she's got strength in her build. ]
You mentioned a Hero agency, and...you help people, with your friends? So you're...a superhero. I think the Security Corps would love to have a superhero helping them.
[Since Ochako knows how to fight, and protecting people from danger is essentially what a Hero does. Heck, they even do routinely patrols on the streets to make sure everything is in its place, and to deter any potential wrongdoers from acting on their whims. The sheer presence of a strong, or well-known Hero on patrol is a damn good repellent in and of itself, at least for small fry villains and criminals.]
Actually, ehehe...you're exactly right. Back in my world, I'm schooling and training to become a Professional Superhero - Pro Hero. [She leans in a little, lowering her voice some.] I even have a superpower, but I'd like to keep it secret... The people here already don't seem to trust or like me, and I'm not sure how they'd react if they saw me doing anything, um...n-not normal.
[Ochako wrings her hands together a bit, looking down. It's going to suck having to hide or suppress the desire to use her quirk, but she wants to fit in here. If she has to stay for...h-however long it's going to be, then she has to make allies, not enemies.]
lord, lmk if this is okay, cuz I gotta shake off the dust.
[It's been a while - long enough that Guzma's pushing closer to thirty than he was before. It'd weird in a way, he doesn't really feel any different, though he knows he's definitely changed from the fucking shmuck he used to be. 'The hated boss' and all that...haha, how the turns table, considering the dark band on his wrist as he lays bodily on a bench in Malie Garden, under the shade of the many gazebos there. It's one of his favorite places on this godforsaken island - peaceful, quiet, and abound with various bug Pokemon that enjoy the grass and water.
Speaking of, a few of his Pokemon are chilling in said grass and water - Golisopod mostly lounging in the clear streams, meditating, while a Houndoom prowls the grass and rolls around a bit. Man, who'd have thunk? Dark types...he was familiar enough with them, but always a bug trainer as heart. S'why being handed the title of Kahuna by Nanu was weird as shit. He wouldn't pass up the opportunity, and he was more than old and skilled enough, and had a decent change in personality. Hell, even the Tapu accepted him when Nanu dragged his sorry backside to the temple practically kicking and screaming. The recluse, Tapu Bulu...the one that represents patience strength and defense. It made the most sense, even if it was still a shock not only to see one, but get given a shining stone by one. Just like that kid...]
Don't set anything on fire.
[He grunts, smelling the faintest whiff of smoke, and hears a soft, whiny "boof" in response from his Houndoom. People still hated him, and they had every right to. Hell, even members of his own disbanded team still hated him when they happened to lock eyes out of sheer circumstance, but none of them could do anything, especially after the ruling of the Tapu. Kahuna Guzma...hah. What a laugh.]
[ It's been a long time since Lillie set foot on Alolan soil. About three years, to be exact. Since she left the islands for Kanto, she's been through a lot of ups and downs. Some days it was easy to put the past behind her and some days it felt impossible, but she made it through all those times, no matter how tough they got. She put Bill in contact with her mother's caretakers pretty early on. She got her own pokemon team to travel with. She grew up, got a little taller, a little stronger. Made friends. Made rivals.
But there was never going to be a place quite like Alola. That's a big part of why she was back, here in Malie Garden, strolling along on of the winding paths and thinking back on her reasons for leaving. In her time away, she'd grown even further apart from her mother. Even though she checked in often to make sure she was recovering okay, they spoke little and she never forgave or forgot the cruelty of Lusamine's actions.
The other part of her coming back was to take on the Island Challenge. It seemed only right to her, to go back to the beginning as a trainer, a real trainer, and try it. To prove to herself that she'd changed and she could and she would. But she wanted to get familiar with the islands again first and so had been taking a sort of detour to her favorite old haunts. Malie Garden had the best tea in all of Alola, after all. She's actually about to turn back from her wandering and go get a cup when she spots a monochrome mountain of person up ahead and smiles. Guzma. What a blast from the past.
He looks well. Older, perhaps a bit less tense in the shoulders. Lillie bites her lip, wondering if she should bother him. After everything? Yeah, she should. Ask how he's doing, see what's changed with Team Skull and show him what's changed with her. She hadn't run into any of the teenage troublemakers since returning, come to think of it. A moment of indecision later, she's making her way over to him until she's standing a few feet away, hands on her hips. With a teasing smile, she says - ]
You look so peaceful and relaxed. What's gotten into you?
we can Struggle together and lose 50% hp each turn.
[With his eyes closed and body indeed relaxed, Guzma only hears the sound of approaching footsteps and his Houndoom shift in the tall grass, a low but deep growl rumbling from its throat before a sharp "tch" from the very monochromatic man silences it outright. Houndoom's a fairly new Pokemon to Guzma's team - given to him as a Houndour by a former grunt who could no longer look after if when the Team disbanded. He made sure to check up on the dolt now and again, and trained the appropriately themed mutt well. It was loyal, but still on the more grumbly side. A lot like himself, honestly...a good fit indeed.
He doesn't move, just waits quietly for this person to come closer or walk past. It could be anyone - a tourist, a challenger, or someone come to point and make fun of him. The latter don't usually do so for very long. Though he's reigned in his temper considerably since then, it still burns red hot under his skin, and there are definitely things that can, and will, set him off. He'll always be a livewire, unpredictable and rough - that part of him will never change. However, the voice catches him off guard. It's familiar and unfamiliar at the same time, and takes a minute for his face to screw up before a large grin spreads on his face, one dark eye opening to peer at--
...Oh. Oh dang, she's changed. Not overly so physically, but her presence has changed. She stands a lot taller, straighter, and doesn't sink into herself like she used to. Good. The kid deserves that confidence after what she's been through. Sad her fuck off mother didn't keel over dead from Nihilego's poison, or he didn't catapult her damn body down the steps of the alter like he should have, but Guzma was still stunned about literally everything that happened, and processing it as best he could. And there's no damn way he can get to Lusamine now... Whatever, she has a hell of a prison sentence waiting for her once she recovers, that's for damn sure (cuz Nanu let it slip, either by accident or for Guzma's benefit and closure).]
Bad malasadas. [He chuckles, threading his fingers behind his head.] Might wanna stay clear.
The big bad Guzma, defeated by malasadas? Say it isn't so!
[ She laughs. What's obvious is that he's changed too. There's a calm to him, like the eye of a storm, but Lillie can't quite place why he seems so much...older. It's good to see he's in good spirits though, able to joke and take her return to Alola in stride. Lillie would be lying if she said she wasn't a little worried she'd be a bad memory for him. None of what happened was her fault, but she knows she must be a reminder of it all.
Her eyes sweep the area for his pokemon that she knows must be nearby, landing on Golisopod first (a small wave to the meditating bug, she doesn't want to interrupt his focus) and eventually sweeping over to Houndoom. Not a bug, but definitely Guzma's pokemon by the way it responded to his voice. Perhaps he'd branched out for some type coverage? Her own pokemon team had changed a few times over the years, that's for sure. Being a trainer was hard. You could specialize and do one thing really well, or you could spread out and do a lot of things pretty well - or you could just have fun, take the losses in stride and enjoy the journey. She liked to think she was somewhere between "strategic balance" and "these are my friends and I'll battle with them". ]
Despite the malasada troubles, you look well. Golisopod, too. [ Lillie holds her hand out calmly and gently for the fiery pup to examine, telegraphing the motion so it isn't so sudden. ] And who's this? Looks like we've both made some new friends.
[Oh, hey, what?! Okay, no, that little quip gets a deep frown to settle in on his face and Guzma finally swings his long legs around and hefts himself up and off the bench her was laying on, straightening his back with a few cracks and pops (because his posture is downright awful). He narrows his eyes, crosses his arms, and leans down to be up front and personal with this little shrimp, scoffing.]
Ya boy isn't defeated by anything, Princess. [And as he straightens, he flicks her nose roughly - not enough to really hurt, but it'll sting for a few minutes - Guzma isn't a brute anymore (as much), but he's still a bit of a bully and a jerk.] Tch, don't make up stories - I look 'bout as good as a freshly laundered Trubbish and you know it.
[Which translates to: 'thanks'. Golisopod twitches his antennae, those cross-pattern eyes blinking slowly as he lifts his head just so to rumble softly in greeting to Lillie before shutting his eyes again to resume his meditation. Houndoom, on the other hand, has prowled closer slowly, and his posture is stiff and almost wooden as Lillie gets too close for comfort. Guzma actually moves very fast when Lillie puts her hand out for it, clamping his large mitt around the big dog's muzzle just before it got within inches of Lillie's outstretched hand to snap at. With a very pointed jerk to snap the dog's face to his, he gives it a Look™ and then shoves its face away.]
Mind where you put your hands, Houndoom's new. ...Not mine, either - one'a my little bros gave 'im to me. [Meaning Guzma didn't raise him, one of the old Grunts did, and those dummies...well. They're not the best trainers. Hence why the Houndoom is so disobedient, and needs some tough love to straighten his gruff ways. Like all the members of Team Skull, really.] Listens to me plenty, but don't like other people what he don't know.
[ Ouch! Jeez, it was just a figure of speech!! Lillie yelps as her nose is flicked, flinching backwards slightly - and mercifully giving Guzma an extra second to secure Houndoom's snout when she does so. There's a moment of cold panic as she freezes. Lillie knows on some level that she should have expected the prickly-natured Houndoom to bite. Boy that would have been a mistake, huh. She lets her hand drop calmly, regaining her composure and smoothing her skirt. It seems only natural that Guzma would adopt a firebrand like this one. If there's one thing he's good at, it's adopting firebrands. Like attracts like and all that.
She puts on a warm smile, despite still feeling the nerves in her stomach from nearly being bitten. ]
Okay, if I'm wrong that you're doing well, how are you doing?
[Guzma keeps a close eye on Houndoom as he skulks away back into the grass, eyes slightly narrowed. He has to train it far better, but that's something for another day - one on one. He's not good with these dark types, and wishes Nanu left him more instruction on how the hell to do this shit. Guzms would love to use his bugs, not dark types...though there really isn't anything stopping him. He's the kahuna now, after all. Tapu Bulu accepted him, too...shockingly enough.
Hence why her question makes him cross his arms and think. How is he doing? Well, he knows one thing for sure--]
M'tired. [He snorts, blowing a raspberry out the corner of his mouth like the grown ass man he is, and rubs at his neck with one hand. Lillie will then see, glaringly obvious, the Z-Power Ring adorning his wrist, set in black to match his monochromatic attire.] Gotta babysit all them trial-goers worse'n all my old brothers and sisters...not to mention carting my backside through the dang desert what to clean up the temple when the Tapu tells me to.
[ When Lillie sees the band around his wrist, there's not as much confusion or hesitation as one might expect. Almost immediately, she clasps her hands together and bounces on her heels. ]
Oh! Guzma, is that-? Congratulations!
[ See? She knew you had it in you Guzma - the potential for real kindness and good deeds buried under that rough and spiky exterior. The Tapu's blessing would never erase the things he had done or the ways he had to be to get by, but it certainly paved the way for a better future for him. And Lillie wanted that for him, badly. Despite it all, she felt a certain kinship with Guzma.
After all, they'd both been victims of her mother's cruelty and they'd both overcome a lot to get to where they were today. In that sense, they were siblings in her eyes.
She does seem to grasp the gravity of it all a moment later, frowning slightly. ]
Oh, but does that mean Team Skull is disbanded? That must be hard for you...
[Blinking, Guzma tilts his head then actually follows her gaze. Oh, shit...right, she hasn't been here to learn he got accepted by the Tapu to be a Kahuna. Scoffing a little, and rubbing the back of his neck (which is only warm because it's hot out, shut up), Guzma just grumbles out a muted huff of.]
Yeah, yeah...'bout time I got recognize as more'n just a nuisance, yo. Though it ain't all it's cut out to be... Tch, ol' man Nanu must've had it easy compared to how often people come up to me, wanting to throw down.
[It's...probably because he, specifically, is a Kahuna now that people want to fight him. Not everyone accepts it, after all, and they constantly challenge his authority and his strength, trying to test if he's "worthy" or not. Not up to them, though...is the thing. If the Tapu themselves gave him their blessing, they can all bitch and moan all they want. But they sure as shit are making his job a hell of a lot harder. It's almost like the idiots are making trouble on purpose...
Gee, that certainly sounds like someone he once knew, doesn't it? Hypocrites.]
...Those morons will get by without it. Was only holding them back.
[Meaning yes, Team Skull is no more, and he's still...unsure how to feel about it. Again, lots of his brothers and sisters accepted it and they still are a big, weird found family of sorts, but others...well. They're the ones he has to beat down not as a Boss, but as a Kahuna now. It's bittersweet, and leaves a really bad taste in his mouth when it happens. He disbanded because it should have been a ways for them to grow and improve themselves just like he did. Guzma means it when he said it was holding them back - they were dummies, but some of them has real skill in a lot of other things, too. One's a fucking cook at Mallow's restaurant, some other two are lifeguards in Hau'Oli and learning up to be official Pokemon Rangers.
They can go well beyond what they could under the moniker of Grunt.]
Oops! I got isekai'd into a totally different canon!!
But, after being woken up by a stranger on a beach in just her pajamas, Ochako begins to think that dream was more real than just a manifestation of her subconscious telling her the crane game alpacas at the downtown arcade were a total ripoff.
I'm going to try to help you as best I can, okay?
no thanks.
(it's fine and you're doing great ;w; ♥)
(WEHS, THANK YOU ♥)
I know it's frightening to be given a big task and sent to a strange place...I'm fairly new here as well.
♥♥♥
I'm sorry, but...what is that? I-I don't mean to be rude, but...but I've never seen anything like it before. [Not a total lie, but Ochako would rather not liken this cute cloud creature to the terrible villain Kurogiri, or a Nomu. N-No thanks...] And um, I-I suppose my most pressing question is, um...how in the world do I get back?
As kind as people may be here, this is isn't where I'm meant to be. My friends, my family...I need to get back home.

He believes it refers to catching all the types of pokémon in Hisui.
no subject
I-Isn't there any way?
no subject
Oh...you must be very loved, to have people who will miss you like that...I don't know how much it helps, but the Professor says time isn't like a straight line. He thinks that maybe, even though days will pass while we are here, no time is passing at all where we came from. Like how we can dream a whole day in a two hour nap.
[ But the unsaid truth is that there's no way to know for sure. ]

We help people in need.
no subject
That sounds wonderful. I think...I think people here need help in their own ways. [ She looks around, knowing that everyone she can see from this seat is terrified of leaving the Village. ] Maybe you can continue to help people and pokémon. Maybe that will bring you closer to home?
no subject
[She's pretty well rounded that way.]
no subject
[ Lillie softens, happy to move away from her own thoughts. She looks Ochako over, noting that she's got strength in her build. ]
You mentioned a Hero agency, and...you help people, with your friends? So you're...a superhero. I think the Security Corps would love to have a superhero helping them.
no subject
What a laugh.]
it's great and no worries! same t b h
[He chuckles, threading his fingers behind his head.] Might wanna stay clear.
no subject

Like all the members of Team Skull, really.] Listens to me plenty, but don't like other people what he don't know.
no subject
Okay, if I'm wrong that you're doing well, how are you doing?
no subject
Lillie will then see, glaringly obvious, the Z-Power Ring adorning his wrist, set in black to match his monochromatic attire.] Gotta babysit all them trial-goers worse'n all my old brothers and sisters...not to mention carting my backside through the dang desert what to clean up the temple when the Tapu tells me to.
no subject
That must be hard for you...
no subject
